Thursday Night at the Movies

A YANK IN THE R.A.F. (1941)
SINGIN IN THE RAIN (1952) Hollywood pokes fun at itself in this depiction of the chaos which the introduction of sound created in the film industry of the late 1920s. Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor star in what many consider the best musical ever made.
SOME LIKE IT HOT (1959) Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis play musicians who must skip town after witnessing a mob hit; masquerading as women, they take refuge in an all-girl band. Complicating the situation are a very friendly Marilyn Monroe and a wealthy Joe E. Brown, who thinks that Jack Lemmon may be the perfect wife.
STRANGERS ON A TRAIN (1951) A chance encounter on a train draws a tennis star (Farley Granger) into a murderous pact with a charming but dangerous stranger (Robert Walker) in this Alfred Hitchcock thriller.
